Mrs. McKinney is a take no prisoners teacher when it comes to demanding the absolute best from herself and her students. All SMT faculty members must address her as “Fellow McKinney” as she has conducted research as a Murdock Partner with Washington State University. This partnership has taken her all over the state studying various aspects of Washington’s watershed. From a chemistry perspective Mrs. McKinney is carbon based, and those who have taken her class will understand that joke. Moreover Mrs. McKinney’s AP classes consistently outperform both Washington and Global averages.
