Teacher Lynn Eide earned an Odysseyware Educator Impact Award in the blended learning category for her innovative use of curriculum to improve student outcomes. Eide provides learning support to students at Skyview High School who work best in environments outside of general education classrooms. Close to 100% of the school’s 25 seniors in the learning support program were expected to graduate on time this year. Eide now is working to implement the program in more Vancouver schools.

More than 300 nominations were submitted for the 2019 Educator Impact Awards. The field was narrowed to 19 finalists and then six winners, including Eide. Winners were recognized at the Odysseyware Educator Impact Awards reception in late June 2019. Eide received a mobile device storage cart and more giveaways.

“Lynn Eide is a dedicated teacher who consistently goes above and beyond for the students of Vancouver School District,” said Skyview High School Principal Jim Gray. “We are proud to support Mrs. Eide as she receives this hard-earned recognition for her great work.”
