The Knowledge Bowl is classed as a club, but is really a competition team fielded by our school to compete with other schools in the Metro league, region and state in a series of academic information games. KB players form a team of four or five and try to answer questions faster and more accurately than another team. The format of the meets is a written round of 60 questions with a 45 minute time limit, then two or three oral rounds in which a buzzer system identifies the first team to have an answer. The competition is fast and intense.
The Skyview varsity team has won or taken second at the regionals and gone on to state for the last 8 years, We have been first once, third once, and placed in the top ten all but one year-quite a record! We practice from 6:30 to 8 PM on Monday nights in the 600 wing and all students are invited to try for a place on a team.

The SMT Council is made up of SMT students elected to the council by their peers. These students meet every other Monday afternoon after school to help plan special events for the SMT student body. They regularly put together the SMT blast plans, run the games and contests, do publicity, and help plan SMT field trips. Without the work of these dedicated people the SMT would not have the special events and they are to be commended. All SMT students can run for a spot on the council.
