Minutes for the Jan. 31st meeting.

We're still working on the paperwork for ASB for the German chocolate bar sale and on the Techno dance with French Club.

Our next meeting is Feb. 14th - VALENTINSTAG!

Meeting minutes for Jan. 17th

We figured out that it would be difficult to work in a German Movie Night between now and finals, so we'll put that off.

In the business part of the meeting we discussed ordering our German Candy Bars for a fund raiser and decided we would apply to ASB to do so. More on that as soon as we know. If you would like to SELL the candy bars, please let Frau Micheel know.

The rest of the time was spent in a rousing game of Foosball.

Meeting minutes for Nov. 15th.
We discussed whether we wanted to go caroling with the French Club (obviously in French and German), perhaps around the neighborhoods some time between Thanksgiving and Christmas, and the majority said yes. Our Kanzlerin will be meeting with the French Club president to figure out how it all will work.

Mrs. Federovich and I are planning to show a Christmas movie some time in December (it's in English, French, German, etc.) in the auditorium (I think). We'll get word out to you later.

In our original plan, we had designated November for Gustav's. The day that should work best for all in Tuesday, Nov. 27th, at 5:30 PM. I'll take a head count tomorrow and see if we can get reservations.

*******************************************
*******************************************

HI! At the last meeting we decided to end the year with a get-together on June 7th right after school for a pot luck and a movie. No other meetings until then. Bis später!

HEY! I AM GETTING LONELY! Three people showed up for the meeting, unfortunately all within a 20 minute period, so only one person was here at a time. Eventually the meeting was cancelled because of lack of participation. If you want a meeting next week (May 17th), let me know and then BE there!!!!

There are so many students involved in the play today that we are canceling today's meeting. See you next week.

At our last meeting (April 18th) we decided on a couple of activities for the rest of the year. On this coming Thursday (APRIL 26TH) at 6 PM we'll have our next German Movie Night (in place of the regular German Club meeting). We're showing Lola rennt! (Run, Lola, Run) and you will need to bring permission slips. Get them from Frau Micheel.

We'll try to do one more fund raiser (German chololate bars) and have a meal together, maybe at the Dönerhaus. Frau Micheel will have to call and see how many people they can accommodate at once.

Please remember to bring your toys THIS WEEK for the Booster Club auction!

The meeting ended with a resounding game of Foosball.

At our last meeting (March 22) we decided to have a pot luck supper at Skyview on this coming Thursday (April 12)th at 6 PM in room 505. Be sure to sign up for what you're bringing! This will be in place of the after school meeting. REMEMBER TO BRING A TOY FOR THE BOOSTER CLUB AUCTION!

NO GERMAN CLUB MEETING this week (March 22) because of Student Led Conferences.

REMEMBER TO GET YOUR GUSTAV'S NUMBERS TO FRAU MICHEEL ASAP SO THAT SHE CAN CONFIRM THE RESERVATON FOR MARCH 27 - 6 P.M.

GERMAN MOVIE NICHT! Since the person who had wanted to see Babe wasn't there, we decided on Sabrina, the Teen-Age Witch instead, which was really quite entertaining. Sorry not so many others could come.

Minutes for the March 8th meeting: ditto....only two or three people there. What's up with that?

Minutes for the March 1st meeting.

Hi! Did all but two of you forget? Come on, Propaganda Officers....you need to get the word out! Here is the new news: GERMAN MOVIE NIGHT, MARCH 9TH, 5-7 PM IN ROOM 505. BRING MONEY FOR PIZZA. The next meeting will be on the 8th, same time, same place.

NOTICE: We will NOT have dinner at Gustav's on Wednesday. We'll have to postpone it, which we will do at tomorrow's (Thursday, February 28) meeting. See you there!

WOW! The Foosball tournament was awesome! We will definitely do it again next yeat! I'll try to figure out how to get the PowerPoint presentation up here , for those who'd like to see some pictures of the final match.

German Club today - Feb. 15th - in room 505. Foosball practice, talk about Karneval, hang out.

I hope you were able to go to the Techno Dance.....it was awesome! About 35 people came from French and German club, the DJ was good, the music was powerful, and I think everyone had a good time....except for Frau Micheel when the smog machine set off the fire alarm...oh well. Hey, when am I going to get copies of the pictures? Email them to me, please!

The meetings on Jan. 11th and January 18th were cancelled due to inclement weather, so the next meeting will be on Thursday, January 25th, but it will have to be short, as I have an appointment.

Sorry! I have to cancel the German club meeting for Jan. 4th. A meeting came up that I can't get out of. Next meeting is Thursday, January 11th, same time / same place. DON'T FORGET THE TECHNO DANCE: FRIDAY, JAN. 5TH, 7-9 PM IN THE COMMONS! $2 at the door.

Minuts of the meeting on Thursday, December 14th.

The party was great!

Next meeting will be Thursday, December 14th. See the minutes from the last meeting about the PARTY.

Minutes of the meeting on Thursday, November 30th:

German Club planned for February as the Foreign Language Promotional month and got volunteers for the promotional videos (three: general, German Week, and the Foosball tournament).

We also talked about the proposed techno dance we want to put on with the French Club on Friday, Jan 5th. We need chaperones!!!

The next meeting will be on December 14th. It will be a Christmas Party, so bring good German food to eat! We will not have a meeting next week, so you all can go bake. We're planning a gift exchange - bring a wrapped present (no more than $5.00) and we'll do a "white elephant" type exchange.

NEXT MEETING, THURSDAY, December 2nd, 2:15 IN ROOM 505.

Minutes of the meeting on Thursday, Nov. 16th:

Minutes of the meeting on Thursday, Nov. 9th:

NEXT MEETING, THURSDAY, NOV. 2ND.

Minutes of the Oct. 16th meeting: Gustav's on Thursday at 6 PM. Due to the multiple club meetings on Mondays, we are reverting to our old meeting time of Thursdays. Because of parent conferences on Oct. 25th, the next German Club meeting is on Thursday, November 2nd.

We have a reservation at Gustav's for Thursday, October 19th, at 6 PM.

Next German Club meeting is on Monday, October 16th, unless you hear otherwise.

Minutes of the German Club meeting from Monday, October 9th

We are thinking of changing our meeting day back to Thursdays, since so many clubs meet on Monday. This would help those of us who are in different activities. Please give your feedback to Frau Micheel this week.

We're trying for a different date for Gustav's - Thursday, October 19th, at 6 PM. Please check back to see if we get the reservation or not!!

As usual, Foosball, and something new: straw structures (colors of the German flag, natürlich!

Bring in your German candy bar money at the next meeting. Three people have already sold theirs! Sehr gut!

Minutes of the German Club meeting from Monday, October 2nd

Not many made it to the meeting. The Chocolate bars are here! We divided them up to see for our fund raiser. Then we played the board game "Deutschlandreise" -- Hannah won. She's a shark!

Next meeting is next Monday, October 9th. Same time, same station.

Minutes of the German Club meeting from Monday, September 25th

-The candy sale is a go. We just need to finish the paperwork. Look for announcements for when the candy gets in.
- We're trying for a dinner out at Gustav's on October 5th at 7 PM. We'll let you know if we can get a reservation for that day or not.
-We think we have enough members to challenge the French Club to a soccer match. If you are interested and weren't at the meeting, be sure to let Frau Micheel know.
-
The rest of the time was well spent playing Foosball (love that table!) and the Deutschlandreise board game.

- Next meeting is Monday, Oct. 2nd, room 505 from 2:15-3:00 p.m.

FIELDTRIP TO MT. ANGEL 9/15/06

Wow! We had a really good time at the Oktoberfest! Sorry not as many kids could come as had said they wanted to. We watched the folk dancing and heard folk music all the time we were there. We went to the Alpenhorn concert in the church (those are those really long horns made originally from tree trunks and used in the Alps to communicate from valley to valley, etc. before phones.)

Monday meeting, Sept. 17th is cancelled [sorry!] Maybe we can make it up.

LAST CALL FOR FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIPS TODAY: SEPT. 12TH

Minutes from the meeting on Monday, Sept. 11, 2006

Unfortunately, many people forgot the meetings were changed to Mondays.

We tried to find enough parent volunteers for the field trip. We'll try, but we may not have enough drivers to make it a go.

We're going to start a chocolate bar fundraiser as soon as ASB approves it.

We modified the titles of the officers to reflect the titles in Germany.

Minutes from the meeting on Thursday, Sept. 7th, 2006
