Soft Drink Web Site

Create a website for your favorite soft drink. Remember to place all items (pages, graphics, etc.) into one folder as you create the site.

Must include:

• 3 Pages (in Dreamweaver):
  • Introductory/Home page
  • History of the soft drink (research it and site your sources)
  • Resource page
• Images
       You can use official artwork for the company but also must site resources for the following items:
  • Create one animated advertisement in Flash
  • Create one animated advertisement in Fireworks
  • Create three still graphics in Fireworks (one for each page)
  • Use Flash or Fireworks to create your buttons to link the three pages

You will be graded on the following items:

• Ideas and Content : The web site is clear, focused, professional, and creative where appropriate. It is obvious the creator has put significant thought and effort into the web design. All resources are sited.
• Conventions: Spelling, grammar, capitalization, paragraphing, punctuation harmonizes with the sentence structure. Errors are so few and minor the reader can easily skim over them unless specifically searching for them.
• Use of original graphic (Fireworks) and/or animation (Flash): Graphic(s)/animation(s) are appropriate and enhance the design of the web site. It is obvious the creator has put significant effort into the graphic/animation design.
• Use of Color: Colors enhances (rather than distracts from) the attractiveness of the web site. Color choice is relational where appropriate.
• Layout/Design: Layout is balanced, includes all necessary elements, and the viewer can easily navigate. Important elements are emphasized in the web site.
• Font Choice: Use of serif vs. sans serif fonts is appropriate. Variation, size, number, and consistent use of fonts is evident.
