Whew! WASMUN is back on.

We were given Mozambique and the following committees.

DIS=Disarmarmament and Intl Security
SHC = Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural
ESL = ESL Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural
WHO = World Health Organization
UNCHR = UN Commission on Human Rights
UNDCP = UN Drug Control Programme

Some new dates. Paper dates remain the same. All of the following are required on time to participate. I have scheduled the requirements so that they fit in with my schedule to review. I want our preparation to lend the best chance for leadership and excellence at WASMUN.

12/16: A short meeting next Tuesday to determine committees so you can do your position paper over break. A sample position paper will be available to you then.
1/14: $35 receipt from Business Office for trip
1/14: Signed fieldtrip form, code and medical info form (if not already on file)
2/1 or earlier: Quality first draft of position paper for editing by Dr. Questad. Information on this will be given to you at least two weeks in advance.
2/16: Final draft with all corrections for mailing to UW grad school. If your paper is incomplete or does not meet standards, you will get it back for rewriting.
No member can go this year if all requirements are not met. Certain rights, privileges, honors and surprises will be awarded those earning the most points:
1. First one in with all paperwork AND receipt = 12 points (12 for 1st, 10 for 2nd and so on)
2. Best first draft of position paper that is turned in ON TIME - (18 pts for 1st, 15 for second and so on)
3. Best final draft of position paper that is turned in ON TIME (24 pts for 1st and 20 for second and so on)
