Speech Communication/Debate: 1 Semester
Sign up for the regular class Speech and Debate Class or ... sleep in
and sign up for the 7th period class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:15-4:45.

Course Description:
Improve your ability to inform, influence and persuade others. Speeches are written for a variety of audiences, including interpersonal situations, career settings and public speaking. Internet research and email access is required.

During second quarter the culminating experiences include a "Student Take-Over" where students direct the experience of the class.

Regional debate and speech tournament participation opportunities are made available as well as membership in the National Forensic League, highly respected by colleges and universities.

Prioritize with your counselor what you want. Only one Speech and Debate Class will be offered.
Example:
1) Regular Speech and Debate
2) 7th Period Speech and Debate
3) Mythology

The Wall Street Journal has noted three suprising findings in college admissions.
