THE MASKED BALL

You've just been invited to the Capulet Ball.
A mask is part of the dress code,
so you will need to make one.
Do you have to buy anything? No.
Does it have to be complicated? No.
Does it have to be pretty? Only if you want it to be.


1. Outline your mask onto cardboard

Materials for your mask: Materials you already have on hand at home are acceptable
Suggestions

cardboard from a cereal box crayons macaroni tissue paper fly-typing supplies
felt markers magazine pictures feathers stickers
fabric scraps sequins ribbon hardware supplies  
construction paper glitter paint aluminum foil  

2. Have a design theme
Suggestions

animals insects rock stars stars
flowers geometric shapes astrology picture collages

3. Use string, rubberbands, ribbon or other material to tie around your head so the mask stays on.
(No full face masks, please - hard to eat)

4. Put your last name and class period on the back.
