SUBJECT OF RESOLUTION: Security Council Reform

SUBMITTED TO: All Committees, 1,2, 3, 4, and 5 and Security Council

SUBMITTED BY: The People's Democratic Republic of North Korea

RECOGNIZING the imbalance of power and representation among ethnic, continent and economic member nations on the Security Council,

AFFIRMING that to ensure peace all member nations must have access to equal representation,

DEEPLY CONCERNED that continuation on the current system will result in disillusionment, disobedience, apathy and disrespect among member nations,

REQUESTS that the Security Council operate with open membership to all UN members and abolish the veto power,

SEEKS a reform of the current Security Council organization, including Security Council appointments and veto power.
