AWARE of the numerous acts of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity conducted in the past, and taking place today in the international community,

HAVING EXAMINED the existing international war crimes tribunals for the prosecutions of persons responsible for violations of international humanitarian law committed on the territory of former Yugoslavia and Rwanda,

EXPECTING the international community to keep in mind Article 2 of the present Charter of the United Nations when establishing the International Criminal Court,

1.REQUESTS the establishment of an International Criminal Court.
