Policy Statement – 30 seconds

1. State your country

2. State something about your country applicable to your position on the resolution

3. State your position with your speech theme

Policy Speech – 2-3 minutes
Use a prop (sign, map, poster, overhead, etc)

1. State your country

2. State your understanding of the issue

3. State your understanding of the opposition to your position

4. State your position and theme

5. State and substantiate 3 reasons for your position.

1. Required:  One reason should be based on the UDHR or Charter. 

2.  Another reason should be based on facts (statistics, medical research, true story, new event/story)

3. Last reason (Cause and effect:  how it would affect your country and other countries- economy, trade, finances…)

6.  Restate your position and theme
