ALARMED BY the political stagnation that results from the existence of the veto vote


CONCERNED BY the near-totalitarian political power possessed by the Big 5 in the Security Council, as well as the rotational system ensuring that certain nations are underepresented and are not able to fairly influence UN decisions, as is their right by virtue of being compliant member nations


SEEKING the elimination of the veto vote and the establishment of member nation equality within the Security Council


REQUESTS that all countries, including the underrepresented Asian nation of
Singapore, be given their rightful say in decisions that effect the future of both their sovereign nations and the world.

RECOGNIZING the imbalance of power and representation among ethnic, continent and economic member nations on the Security Council,

AFFIRMING that to ensure peace all member nations must have access to equal representation,

DEEPLY CONCERNED that continuation on the current system will result in disillusionment, disobedience, apathy and disrespect among member nations,

REQUESTS that the Security Council operate with open membership to all UN members and abolish the veto power,

SEEKS a reform of the current Security Council organization, including Security Council appointments and veto power.
