Dear Dr. Questad,

I am a senior at Skyview High School and I was in your Pre-AP SMT Freshman English class in 2004. When I was in your class I didn’t understand the importance of using proper citation, nor did I understand the magnitude the damages that can come of doing them wrong.

I am now doing original research at WSU Vancouver in the field of marine biology and I would be abhorred to mis-cite some one else’s work or have my work used without permission.

In short, I finally understand what you were trying to teach us with the “The Gods are Angry” paper. Thank you for making me re-do it until the citation was perfect.

In early January my research paper will be complete. I was wondering if you would mind proofreading it and then double checking my citations. This is not for several more months but I would rest easier knowing that I won’t come into disrepute because of a mis-cited source.
