THESIS PAPER FOR ANIMAL FARM

Choose one of the following options to write a thesis paper on and circle it.

1. What is the theme, lesson, moral or message of Animal Farm? (What do you consider to be Orwell's most important lesson in Animal Farm?)
Support your substantiation for your thesis with specific examples and plot elements from the novel.

2. What lesson(s) did the farm animals learn?
Substantiate your answer with references to the novel.

3. In what ways can Animal Farm be compared to the Russian Revolution?
Make sure you use an example from the book and from history for each contention.

4. What could the animals have done differently to be more successful?
What they did do and what could they have done? What should they have done to be more successful? What was their real goal? How could they have achieved it?
Refer to or compare your ideas for success with textual references on what failed or otherwise occured in the book.

IMPORTANT: Beware - do not write a report on the plot (what the novel is all about).
Each contention must be substantiated with at least one specific example from the book.

No personal references are in expository writing. Minus 1 for each personal reference.
