Parent/Guardian/Student Letter and Confirmation Signature Form

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

Welcome to Pre-Advanced Placement Freshman English and Advanced Technology with Dr. Questad and Mrs. Schmidt. Please read over the attached Questad-Schmidt Packet and sign the confirmation below. Students will receive points for submitting your signature by Monday. They will also receive special instruction on this packet and be expected to pass a mastery test on the information given to assure understanding. This grade, along with all others for English will be posted on Dr. Questad's Web site at http://skyview.vansd.org/bquestad/index.htm. Mrs. Schmidt will email you grades reports when she has your email address. Dr. Questad will post grades confidentially on the class web site. to communicate progress.

We encourage you to bookmark our class web sites on your home computer. English grades are posted weekly there and can be accessed by clicking on "Your Grades" and then entering your student's last name (all lower case) and ID number. Assignment explanations can be accessed at “Assignment Log” and “Calendar” showing work done each day are also on our respective sites.

This packet of class information should be kept in your student's notebook for easy reference. A copy of this page is at the end of your packet for your reference. We are looking forward to a great year and meeting you at Open House on Thursday, Sept. 29th at 7:00.
